JKPSC Withdraws 397 Assistant Professor Posts in Higher 

The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has withdrawn 397 posts that were advertised under four different notifications from 2021 and 2022. The decision came soon after the J&K Higher Education Department requested the PSC board to withdraw the posts.

According to the official statement released by JKPSC, the Higher Education Department had referred 397 posts of Assistant Professor in various disciplines/ Librarian/PTI. These posts were advertised under Notification No. 08-PSC (DR-P) of 2021 dated 18.08.2021, Notification No. 09-PSC (DR-P) of 2021 dated 03.09.2021, Notification No. 13-PSC (DR-P) of 2022 dated 25.05.2022, and Notification No. 15-PSC (DR-P) of 2022 dated 30.06.2022.

However, in response to a letter from the Higher Education Department dated 01.12.2022, JKPSC was required to withdraw these posts. As a result, the posts advertised under Notification No. 08- PSC (DR-P) of 2021 dated 18.08.2021, Notification No. 09-PSC (DR-P) of 2021 dated 03.09.2021,Notification No. 13-PSC (DR-P) of 2022 dated 25.05.2022, and Notification No. 15-PSC (DR-P) of 2022 dated 30.06.2022 have now been officially withdrawn.

Candidates who have applied for these posts are advised to reach out to JKPSC via email jkpsconlinerefund@gmail.com for a refund of their application fee. This must be done with an acknowledgement receipt and account number before February 15th, 2023.
