SRINAGAR: At least 80 posts, including several key positions, are currently vacant in the revenue department of Srinagar, in Jammu and Kashmir.
These vacancies include multiple positions such as Patwaris, Tehsildars, and Naib Tehsildars.

According to official data obtained by news agency KNO 37 Patwari posts remain unfilled in the Srinagar district’s revenue department. Additionally, one Tehsildar post and five Naib Tehsildar posts are vacant.
This information was disclosed by the Public Information Officer (PIO) in response to a Right to Information (RTI) request filed by activist M M Shuja.

The PIO further reported that 13 Junior Assistant positions, four Senior Assistant positions, eight Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) posts, six Girdawar posts (OQ and BGQ), three WBM posts, and two driver posts are also vacant in the department—(KNO).
