The Government of Jammu & Kashmir has issued the tentative seniority list for Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors, and Fisheries Development Officers of the J&K Fisheries Department, effective from 01.01.2024. This list comes in light of updates required due to promotions, retirements, and other changes that occurred since the previous seniority lists were issued under:

Government Order No. 14-JK(ASH) of 2022 dated 27.01.2022

Government Order No. 266-JK(APD) of 2022 dated 20.10.2022

Key Highlights:

  1. Revised Seniority List: The revised list reflects the changes in the department due to promotions, retirements, and unfortunate incidents such as the demise of officers. The fresh list aims to provide an updated and accurate representation of seniority as it stood on 01.01.2024.
  2. Filing of Objections:
    All concerned officers are requested to submit any objections they may have regarding the seniority list within 21 days from the date of issuance of this circular. The objections must be submitted through the Director of Fisheries, accompanied by valid supporting documents.
  3. Legal Provisions:
    The tentative list does not affect any pending legal proceedings, particularly any Writ Petition(s) in the courts, and shall be finalized accordingly.
  4. Verification of Birth and Category:

The date of birth and category status of officers mentioned in the list are not final and are subject to verification with official records, including the Service Book and Matriculation Certificates.

Officers claiming benefits under any reserved categories (other than SC/ST) are required to submit a valid category certificate within the stipulated time frame for verification.

The final seniority list will be issued after the review of any objections raised and necessary verification. Officers are advised to ensure they submit their objections (if any) within the stipulated timeline to avoid delays in the finalization of the seniority list.
