Eligibility Criteria for TA Bharti 2024
To apply for the Territorial Army Recruitment Rally 2024, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Educational Qualification
Soldier (General Duty): Class 10th/Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject. For Boards with a grading system, a minimum of D grade in individual subjects and an overall C2 grade.
Soldier (Clerk): 10+2/Intermediate pass in any stream with 60% marks in aggregate and 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping in Class 12th is mandatory.
Soldier Tradesmen (All Tradesmen except Housekeeper & Mess Keeper): Class 10th pass with a minimum of 33% in each subject.
Soldier Tradesmen (Housekeeper & Mess Keeper): Class 8th pass with a minimum of 33% in each subject.
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 18 and 42 years of age as of the date of recruitment.
Selection Process for Territorial Army Jobs
The selection process for the TA Jobs 2024 will involve several stages:
- Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Height: Minimum of 160 cm (157 cm for candidates from Ladakh).
Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per Army medical standards.
Chest: 82 cm (77 cm unexpanded).
Candidates will undergo the following tests:

Pull-Ups
Zigzag Balance
9 Feet Ditch
- Medical Inspection
Candidates who pass the physical fitness test will undergo a medical examination to ensure they are medically fit.
- Trade Test
A trade test will be conducted for all tradesmen and clerks.
- Written Examination
Candidates who qualify in the physical and medical tests will take a written exam. The question paper will be bilingual (English & Hindi).
- Screening/Aptitude Test
A screening/aptitude test will be conducted specifically for Soldier General Duty.
