Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the position of Internal Ombudsman at J&K Bank, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Educational Qualification:

The applicant must hold a graduation degree in any discipline.

  1. Experience:

The candidate must be either a retired or serving officer in the rank equivalent to General Manager of another bank or a financial sector regulatory body.

The applicant should not have worked or be working in any capacity at J&K Bank.

If retired or a voluntary retiree, the applicant should have held the rank of General Manager at a Scheduled Commercial Bank, excluding J&K Bank.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Internal Ombudsman position will involve two main steps:

  1. Application Screening:
    J&K Bank will review all applications to ensure eligibility and evaluate candidates based on relevant experience.
  2. Shortlisting & Interview:

A Shortlisting Committee will evaluate applications and decide the criteria for shortlisting candidates.

Important Terms & Conditions

Contract Termination:
The bank reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time without assigning any reason, provided a 30 days’ notice is given or one month’s fixed compensation is paid in lieu of the notice.

Resignation:
If the appointed Internal Ombudsman wishes to terminate the contract before the three-year period, a one-month notice must be given to the bank or a payment equivalent to one month’s compensation in lieu of the notice.

Medical Examination:
The appointment is contingent upon a satisfactory medical examination and verification of testimonials.

Exclusive Engagement:
During the contract, the Internal Ombudsman cannot take up any assignments with any other organization and will not have any administrative or financial powers within the bank.

No Employment Benefits:
The engagement will not be considered employment with the bank. Hence, the appointee will not be eligible for benefits like Provident Fund, Bonus, Pension, or membership in J&K Bank’s Pension Fund or New Pension Scheme (NPS).
