Recruitment for Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers) in J&K: Eligibility, Documents, and Application Process

Eligibility Criteria

1. Location Requirement: Candidates must belong to the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located.
2. Age: Women between 18 and 37 years as of 01-01-2024 are eligible.
3. Domicile: Applicants must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
4. Educational Qualification:
   • Minimum qualification: Matriculation (Class 10th).
   • If no matriculate candidates are available in the ward, candidates with at least VIII standard qualification may be considered.
5. Priority:
   • Married women are prioritized based on Class 10th marks.
   • In the absence of married candidates, unmarried women may apply.

Documents Required (Self-Attested Copies)

For All Applicants:

• Domicile Certificate
• Mark Sheets/Diploma/Degree of prescribed qualification.
• Aadhar Card
• Voter ID Card
• Ration Card
• Date of Birth Certificate/Matriculation Certificate

Additional Documents (as applicable):

• Unmarried Certificate issued by the concerned Tehsildar (for unmarried candidates).
• Death Certificate of Husband (for widows).
• Divorce Certificate (for divorcees).
• Certified copy of the latest Voter List (proof of residence, certified by BDO/EO Municipality).
• Affidavit (Annexure B), attested by a Judicial Magistrate.

How to Apply

1. Application Submission:
   • Submit the completed application form (Annexure A) along with all required documents.
   • Applications must be delivered in person to the Office of the Child Development Project Officer, Kot Bhalwal, Kanger Morh during working hours.
   • Ensure to collect a proper receipt upon submission.
   • Incomplete applications will be rejected, and no claims for candidature will be entertained.
2. Last Date: All applications must be submitted before the closing date mentioned in the official notification.
3. Departmental Rights:
   • The Poshan Department reserves the right to increase, decrease, withdraw, or cancel vacancies at any stage based on departmental needs.

Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates will need to present original documents along with self-attested photocopies for verification. Verification must be completed within a week of the notification following the application deadline. Candidates must ensure they possess the prescribed qualifications and supporting documents on or before the last application date.
