Principal of the college, Dr Ajaz Shah, confirmed the suspension and stated that a three-member inquiry committee has been formed to investigate the incident. The committee—comprising a senior professor, the Medical Superintendent, and the Administrative Officer—has been instructed to submit its findings within three days.
“Until the report is submitted, the doctor in question will remain suspended,” Dr Shah said.
The incident involved 27-year-old Nadeem Ahmad from Srinagar, who reported his distress after realizing that the wrong tooth had been removed during his dental procedure.
The Dental College administration took immediate action. Dr Shah added that any further action against the doctor would be determined based on the outcome of the inquiry. [KNT]
