The boy’s body was eventually recovered from Chinari on Thursday evening, while the girl’s body had crossed to the other side of the LoC earlier and was recovered at Chattar on March 19.
Officials said the matter was taken up with the administration on the other side of the LoC. “Today, a meeting was held at Kaman Post, Uri, where officials from the Uri administration, including SDPO Uri, SHO Uri, Naib Tehsildar, a team of doctors, the Indian Army, and the parents of the deceased, met their counterparts from the other side. The Uri administration has now received both bodies, which had been washed away across the LoC,” an official stated.
