        Tourist Vehicle Overturns on Mughal Road Near Dhobijan, Four Tourists from Mumbai Injured”: SRINAGAR: A tempo traveller carrying tourists from Mumbai to Srinagar met with an accident on the historic Mughal Road near Dhobijan in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday evening, resulting in injuries to four passengers.According to officials, the vehicle skidded off the mountainous road and overturned while negotiating a bend. All the injured were immediately evacuated and taken to the District Hospital in Shopian, where they were treated by Dr Basharat Pandit and his medical team.

Dr Pandit said all the injured were stabilised and are out of danger. However, one of them, identified as Madina, wife of Rashid Sheikh and a resident of Mumbai, sustained head trauma with a scalp laceration and was referred to SMHS Hospital in Srinagar for specialised treatment.

Another tourist, Salma Sheikh, wife of Salam Sheikh, also from Mumbai, suffered a minor bruise on her left thigh. Arshi Mohsin, daughter of Mohsin Sheikh, sustained a clavicle fracture, while Kaif Sheikh, son of Mansoor Sheikh, received bruises on his shoulder and left knee.

The tourists were en route to Srinagar when the mishap occurred. Local residents and first responders rushed to the spot and assisted in evacuating the injured. Authorities have taken cognisance of the incident, and an inquiry into the cause of the accident is underway. The swift response from both medical and rescue teams has been widely appreciated.  The traffic has been diverted to the Mughal Road after the Srinagar-Jammu national highway was blocked by a series of unprecedented landslides last week. The highway is expected to stay closer for a week more for repiars and restoration.kashmir life.
