Met Predicts Rain, Gusty Winds in JK, Advises Caution: SRINAGAR: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast generally cloudy weather with the possibility of rain and thundershowers at many places across Jammu and Kashmir on May 4 and 5. Gusty winds are also expected during this period.

From May 6 to 8, the weather is likely to remain generally dry, providing a brief window for uninterrupted outdoor and farm activities. However, fresh spells of rain, thunder, and gusty winds are again expected at scattered locations between May 9 and 11.
The advisory issued by the Met Centre warns of intense thundershowers, lightning, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 40–50 km/h at isolated to scattered places. People are advised to follow local administration and traffic advisories during the inclement weather.Boating and Shikara rides in Dal Lake, Wular Lake, and other water bodies should be avoided during gusty conditions. There is also a possibility of landslides and mudslides in vulnerable areas.
