SRINAGAR: A 23-year-old youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances near Rather Mandi Bridge in Daraj area of Tehsil Budhal in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday morning.

An official said that early this morning, some passers-by noticed a body lying near the roadside close to the Rather Mandi Bridge and immediately alerted the police. Police officials reached the spot soon after and took custody of the body. The body has been shifted for medico-legal formalities, they said.
The deceased has been identified as Zaheen Shah, son of Azam Shah, a resident of Daraj, Budhal. According to locals, Zaheen had left home on Wednesday night but did not return, official said.
Cognisance of the incident has been taken and further investigation into the cause of death is underway. (JKNS)
