GMC Srinagar Senior Resident Selection List 2025: Applications Received & Department-Wise Vacancy Status : The Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar has released an important update regarding the selection of Senior Residents and Tutors across various disciplines.

As per Government Order No. 383-JK (HME) of 2024 dated 20.06.2024, the Health and Medical Education Department framed comprehensive guidelines for the eligibility and selection process for tenured positions of Senior Residents and Tutors in all Government Medical Colleges of Jammu and Kashmir.
Following the implementation of these guidelines, GMC Srinagar issued Advertisement Notice No. 06 of 2025 dated 10.05.2025, inviting applications from qualified candidates—including both in-service and non-in-service doctors—for tenure-based positions of Senior Residents/Tutors in multiple departments.
In response to the advertisement, a total of 48 applications were received across 11 departments/disciplines. Upon careful scrutiny of the applications, it was observed that in 09 of these departments, the number of applications received was either equal to or less than the number of available vacancies.
This ensures that eligible candidates in these disciplines will likely face minimal competition for selection, streamlining the recruitment process and enabling timely appointments.
