He said one month has been given to private coaching centres to complete the registration process.
“Any group intending to run a private coaching centre must obtain registration. One key benefit of registration is that it includes a 10 percent reserved quota for deserving students. Without registration, under no circumstances will they be allowed to function,” he added,” he said.
Itoo said that while many coaching centres already have registration, they must now renew it to continue operations.
He said that the registration process includes conditions laid down by the School Education Department, with student safety being the most important.
The directorate has also clarified that no coaching centre will be allowed to function during school hours. (KNO)
