SRINAGAR: Three persons, including a groom, were injured after their vehicle came under stone shooting near the Panar area along the Mughal Road in Poonch district on Friday.
Officials said that the incident occurred when a wedding party, including the groom, was travelling from Poonch to Shopian. Stones were reportedly hurled at the vehicle, injuring three individuals.
Among the injured, the groom is said to be in critical condition.
“Block Medical Officer (BMO) Surankote, Dr Mohd Yousuf Choudhary, said all three injured persons have been referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar for advanced treatment. The injured have been identified as Mohd Amin (30), son of Abdul Kareem, resident of Shahpur; Mohd Khalid (30), son of Ghulam Rasool, resident of Shahpur; and Mohd Javid (25), son of Mohd Ali,” officials said.
