SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns across several areas of South Kashmir on July 20, 21 and 23, 2025, to facilitate preventive maintenance, branch cutting and augmentation of 33KV lines.

According to a statement issued by the Chief Engineer, Distribution Wing, KPDCL, power supply from the 33KV Kanipora-Keller line will remain suspended from 07:00 AM to 01:00 PM on July 20. This will affect 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Shadimarg, Keller and Kanipora, impacting power supply to Drabgam, Qasbayar, Kalampora, Dompora, Keller, Moshward, Nadpora, Kanipora and adjoining areas.

Similarly, a shutdown of the 33KV Lassipora-Keegam line is scheduled on July 21 from 07:00 AM to 01:00 PM, affecting the Keegam, Gulshanabad, Mitrigam and Chararipora Receiving Stations. Areas to be affected include Murran, Rahmoo, Mirgund, Mitrigam, Hawal, Keegam, Rajpora, Gulshanabad, Akhaal, Chararipora, Pakherpora, Kamrazipora and nearby localities.

In addition, for stabilisation and augmentation of the 33KV Pampore-SIDCO line, a shutdown has been scheduled on July 20 and 23 from 06:00 AM to 11:00 PM, affecting Receiving Stations at IE Khrew and dedicated cement plant installations, thereby impacting industrial power supply to IE Khrew and Cement Plants.

Power supply from the 33KV Pampore-Pampore line will also remain suspended during the same dates and hours, disrupting supply to Pampore-I and Pampore-II Receiving Stations. This will affect Pampore, Khadermoh, Zewan, Tengan, EDI-Pampore and adjoining areas.

The KPDCL has advised consumers to bear with the inconvenience caused due to essential maintenance aimed at improving system reliability and performance.
