The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued final notices to several candidates selected for Junior Assistant posts under Advertisement Notification Nos. 04 & 05 of 2021 and 02 & 04 of 2022. The selection was part of a recruitment drive for 306 posts across various departments in the UT/Divisional/District Cadres, with the final selection list issued on 21st April 2025.
Candidates Mr. Prashant Sharma and Ms. Palvi Sharma were among those selected but had their recommendations withheld due to non-submission of necessary documents. Mr. Sharma failed to clarify a name variation in his domicile and academic certificates, while Ms. Sharma did not provide a valid EWS certificate as per the required UT format. Despite earlier reminders, both failed to submit the relevant documents within the 15-day deadline, which ended on 6th May 2025. As a last opportunity, JKSSB has granted them 7 more days from the date of notice issuance to comply, failing which their recommendations will be cancelled.
In a related development, JKSSB has officially cancelled the recommendations of two candidates — Mr. Pankaj Sharma and Ms. Ankita Choudhary — for failing to produce valid category certificates despite being given sufficient time. Their selection under the ALC/IB and EWS categories, respectively, has now been withdrawn.
The Board emphasized that all selected candidates must adhere strictly to documentation requirements to confirm their appointments, warning that non-compliance will lead to cancellation ab initio (from the beginning).
