JKBOPEE Releases Provisional Merit List for NEET-UG 2025 Candidates from J&K and Ladakh
The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has released the Provisional Merit List (PML) for NEET-UG 2025 candidates belonging to the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. This list features students who appeared in NEET-UG 2025 and registered with JKBOPEE under the UT quota.
The publication of this merit list follows earlier official notices, including Notification Nos. 073-BOPEE and 076-BOPEE of 2025. The list is based on candidate roll numbers shared by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.
Who is Included in the Provisional Merit List
The PML includes all eligible candidates from J&K and Ladakh who appeared in NEET-UG 2025 and registered online with JKBOPEE. It also includes candidates whose roll numbers were previously missing but were later added after they submitted the required documentation. Additionally, students who applied under the Sports Category through the J&K Sports Council have been listed separately in Annexure-B, arranged in order of merit.
Important Dates for Verification and Objections
Candidates listed in the PML were asked to complete online document verification and category status updates between July 18 and July 22, 2025, and again from July 29 to July 30, 2025. Any objections to the merit list must be submitted in person at JKBOPEE offices in Srinagar or Jammu by August 4, 2025, no later than 2:00 PM. Electronic submissions via email or messaging apps will not be accepted. If no objections are received by the deadline, the current provisional list will be treated as final.
Special Notes and Clarifications
Certain candidates who registered online but had incomplete documentation have been conditionally included in the PML. They must submit the pending documents in hard copy by August 4, 2025, to be eligible for counseling. A case concerning a candidate from the EWS category, titled Manhsa Iqbal Kelam vs UT of J&K, is currently under judicial review. Her eligibility under the EWS category will be determined based on the final court verdict.
It is also clarified that the merit list for the Sports Category only determines eligibility for participation in counseling. Final seat allotment will be based on overall merit and availability of seats.
Caution and Advisory for Candidates
Candidates are strongly advised to verify the accuracy of their personal and academic information in the merit list. Submission of false information or forged documents may result in cancellation of candidature and disqualification from the admission process. Candidates must ensure the authenticity of all documents and follow the given timelines to secure their eligibility for medical counseling.
How to Access the Merit List
The complete Provisional Merit List, along with the Sports Category merit list, is available on the official JKBOPEE website. Candidates can visit www.jkbopee.gov.in to download Annexure-A and Annexure-B and review the full notification.
