SRINAGAR: An army soldier was killed after his service rifle went off accidentally in Sarna area of Bhaderwah in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials said that an army trooper lost his life when his service rifle went off accidentally at the battalion headquarters, killing him instantly. The deceased soldier has been identified as Suresh Biswal, son of Kishore Biswal, resident of Dhenkal, Odisha.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident. (GNS)
