Srinagar, Sept 16: In a major crackdown on narcotics, Pulwama Police foiled a drug smuggling bid at Newa and seized 120 grams of heroin like substance from a notorious woman peddler.
The accused, identified as Sheikh Maroofa, W/O Sheikh Tasaduq, hails from Kathidarwaza Mumkhan, Rainawari, Srinagar. A case under FIR No. 217/2025 U/S 8/22 NDPS Act has been registered, and further investigation is underway. Notably, her husband, Sheikh Tasaduq, has already been detained under PIT NDPS by Srinagar Police.
