J&K Bank invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Medical Consultant on a contractual basis.
Vacancy Details
- Posts: 2 (One each at Corporate Headquarters – Srinagar and Zonal Office – Jammu)
- Qualification: MBBS degree recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI)/National Medical Commission (NMC)
- Registration: Must hold valid registration with NMC/MCI or respective State/UT Medical Councils
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in any hospital or as a practicing Medical Consultant. Preference for experienced General Physicians.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide medical consultation to Bank employees and their dependents.
- Examine employees/dependents and provide expert medical opinions.
- Review and give professional opinions on medical claims/documents submitted by employees.
- Offer free consultation, prescriptions, and injections to staff, their families, and retired employees under the Medical Insurance Scheme.
- Attend to emergency cases at or outside the Bank premises, including accompanying patients to hospitals if necessary.
- Issue medical certificates for leave, fitness, or other Bank-required purposes.
- Perform duties similar to a General Medical Practitioner and any other medical tasks assigned by the Bank.
Selection Process
- Applications will be screened based on qualification, experience, and suitability.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for an Interview/Interaction to assess knowledge and skills.
