The minister, responding to growing student demands, said the move would ensure that the academic year of pass-outs remains unaffected.

In a post on X, Itoo stated, “On the demand of students, we have authorised the opening of the admission process for those who have recently passed the Higher Secondary Part II Examination. The pass-outs of the Biannual Examination will be granted admission in Degree Colleges of both Divisions from 29th September, so that their precious academic year is saved.”

The announcement comes as relief to hundreds of students seeking timely admission to continue their higher education without disruption.
