In view of the current precipitation and rain forecasting, the following measures are suggested:

A. FRUIT

Cultural Management

Maintain proper drainage in the nursery and orchards to avoid water logging.

• Introduce bee hives (3-4 hives per ha.) for effective pollination as the weather improves.
• Apple orchards at pink bud stage spray boron @1-1.5g per litre after three (03) days of fungicidal spray.

Chemical Management

1. Apple orchards in partial or full bloom:

Spray any of the following fungicide per 100 litre of water as soon as the weather improves.

• Mancozeb 75WP 300g
• Captan 50 WP 300g

Propineb 70 WP 300g

• Zineb 75 WP 300g
• Metiram 70 WG 300 g

2. Apple orchards that are still at pink bud stage

Spray any of the following fungicide per 100 litre of water as soon as the weather improves

• Zineb (68%) + Hexaconazole (5%) 100g
• Metiram (55%) + Pyraclostrobin (5%) 60 WG (100g)
• Dodine 65 WP 60g
• Dodine 40 SC 90 ml
• Tebuconazole (6.7%) + Captan (26.9%) 33.6 SC (250 ml)
• Tebuconazole 38.9% SC (40ml)
• Chlorothalonil 40% + Difenaconazole 4% 44 SC (180ml)
