GMC Kathua Announces Tenure Recruitment for Demonstrators & Senior Residents
Government Medical College (GMC) Kathua has released an official advertisement inviting applications from PSC and Non-PSC doctors (domicile of J&K UT) for tenure-based posts of Demonstrator and Senior Resident in various departments. The application form is attached as Annexure-A in the notification, and candidates must submit the form offline, either by hand or by post.

Important Instructions
Candidates applying for more than one specialty must submit separate forms for each. All forms must be submitted through offline mode only. Any delay in postal delivery will be the sole responsibility of the candidate.
Terms & Conditions for PSC (In-Service) Candidates
- Selected PSC doctors will receive salary as per their Last Pay Certificate (LPC).
- In-service candidates must obtain prior permission/NOC from the Administrative Department.
- They will be allowed to join only after being officially relieved from their parent department.
- The application form should be submitted directly in the office of the undersigned (without routing through Administrative Department as per latest guidelines).
Terms & Conditions for Non-PSC Candidates
- Non-PSC doctors will receive consolidated pay equivalent to the minimum revised basic pay of Medical Officer as per SRO-193 dated 24-04-2018 plus DA and HRA as applicable.
- No additional monetary benefits will be given apart from the approved allowances.
- Maximum age limit applies as per the cutoff date mentioned in the notification.
- Selection will follow the latest guidelines issued by the Health & Medical Education Department.
Tie-Breaking Criteria
If two candidates score the same in the written test:
- Candidate with higher marks in basic qualification will be preferred.
- If still tied, candidate with higher post-basic qualification will be considered.
- If both are still equal, older candidate (descending age order) will be selected.
