The reshuffle brings changes at multiple levels — district administration, divisional offices, field departments, and secretariat wings. Officers serving as Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Additional Deputy Commissioners, Joint Directors, CEOs, and officers handling revenue and developmental work have been moved to new roles based on administrative requirements.
Many positions that had been vacant for weeks are now filled, while some officers have been shifted to departments handling crucial public contact, such as social welfare, rural development, and disaster management. By redistributing responsibilities, the government aims to enhance accountability, improve coordination between field and secretariat levels, and accelerate developmental projects.
Officials believe this large-scale rearrangement will help address administrative gaps and bring more efficiency to government functioning across districts. With 58 officers set to take charge of new assignments, the UT administration expects stronger governance outcomes in the coming months.
