Eligibility Criteria for J&K Child Rights Commission Recruitment
To be eligible for these posts, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Age Limit
Minimum Age: 35 years
Maximum Age:
65 years for the Chairperson
60 years for Members
The age will be calculated as of January 1st of the year in which the advertisement notice is issued.
- Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Graduation in one of the following disciplines:
Management
Law
Psychology
Sociology / Social Work
Education
- Experience Requirements
A minimum of 10 years of experience is required in relevant areas as specified under Rule 3 (1) of the J&K Commission for Protection of Child Rights Rules, 2022.
Selection Process and Evaluation Criteria
The selection process will be based on the following point-based system:
- Graduation in the relevant discipline: 40 points
- Post-graduation in the relevant discipline: 10 points
- Higher qualifications such as PhD/MPhil in the relevant discipline: 10 points
- Working experience of at least 10 years in Government institutions or registered NGOs/CSOs in relevant fields: 15 points
- Additional experience beyond 10 years: 1 point for each additional year, up to a maximum of 5 points
- Viva Voce (Interview): 20 points
Salary and Benefits
The selected candidates for Chairperson and Members will be entitled to salaries and allowances as prescribed by the Jammu and Kashmir Government.
Terms of Service for Chairperson and Members
- The appointment will be governed by the Commission for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005, and J&K Commission for Protection of Child Rights Rules, 2022.
- Out of the six members being appointed, at least two will be women.
- The Chairperson will hold office for a period of three years or until they reach the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.
- The Members will hold office for a period of three years or until they reach the age of 60 years, whichever is earlier.
Conditions of Ineligibility
Applicants will not be considered if they meet any of the following conditions:
Past violation of human rights or child rights
Conviction and sentencing for an offense involving moral turpitude
Dismissal from government service or from a corporation controlled by the central or state government
Currently serving as a Member of Parliament or a State Legislature
Engaging in business or practicing a profession that has not been suspended before taking office
