Research Staff Jobs at NIT Srinagar – ICSSR-Sponsored Project
Applications are invited for research staff positions in the Department of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Management at NIT Srinagar. The positions are for an ICSSR-sponsored research project titled “Evaluating the Cyber-Security Preparedness of Indian Organizations and its Influence on their Performance: A Case Study of MSMEs in Jammu & Kashmir UT.”
National Institute of Technology, NIT Srinagar is seeking eligible candidates for Research Assistant and Field Investigator positions. Interested candidates must apply by 24th November 2024.

Project Duration: 12 months
Positions Available
1. Research Assistant
- Number of Positions: 1
- Remuneration: ₹37,000/month (Consolidated)
- Duration: Maximum 12 months or co-terminus with the project
- Qualification:
- PhD/M.Phil/Postgraduate in a relevant subject or any social sciences discipline with at least 55% marks
2. Field Investigator
- Number of Positions: 2
- Remuneration: ₹20,000/month (Consolidated)
- Duration: Maximum 6 months
- Qualification:
- Postgraduate degree in a social sciences discipline with at least 55% marks
Important Notes
Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit and project requirements. Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee selection. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews, and they will be notified via email. Selected candidates are expected to join within a week after the interview results are announced.
No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview in person.
The positions are purely temporary and will terminate upon project completion. At the time of joining, candidates must produce original documents for verification, along with a medical fitness certificate from the institute’s medical officer. Failure to comply may result in the offer being extended to the next candidate on the merit list.
