200 Units Free Electricity for AAY Families, Free Transport for Women from April 1: CM Omar Abdullah

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, in his budget speech, announced major welfare initiatives, including 200 units of free electricity for families under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) and free transport for women in government-operated vehicles starting April 1.

🔹 200 units of free electricity for all AAY families in J&K.
🔹 Free travel for women in government transport, including e-buses, from April 1.
🔹 AAY beneficiaries to receive 10 kg of free ration per month from April 1.
🔹 Marriage assistance for AAY category girls increased from ₹50,000 to ₹75,000.
🔹 200 new e-buses to be introduced in Srinagar & Jammu to enhance public transport.

These measures aim to provide relief to underprivileged families and improve public transport infrastructure across the region.
