SRINAGAR: Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Naseer Ahmad Wani on Tuesday said that, there are no immediate plans to change the school timings in Kashmir.
Director School Education Kashmir Naseer Ahmad Wani said that students and staff need to acclimatise to the prevailing weather conditions, while indicating that any change in timings could be considered later in connection with the annual Darbar Move.
“We should get acclimatised to the prevailing weather conditions,” Wani said.
At present, school classes in Kashmir are being held from 9:00 am, with no immediate change in the schedule, according to the Directorate of School Education Kashmir.
The statement comes amid growing demands from parents urging government to change school timings across Kashmir. (JKNS)
