“The deceased, identified as Jameela Akther, daughter of Mushtaq Ahmad Khan from Rajouri, was residing in Gund Darvish Zainapora as a tenant. Locals attempted to rescue her, but she was found dead shortly after being retrieved from the water,” officials said.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated proceedings to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death. (JKNS)
