BSF Jawan from Kupwara dies in West Bengal

Srinagar, Feb 23 (KS) : A Border Security Forces (BSF) Jawan from north Kashmir’s Kupwara district died after drowning in a river in West Bengal on Thursday evening.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir Scroll that a BSF Jawan identified as Reyaz Ahmad Rather, son of Ghulam Ahmad Rather of Macncher Lolab area of Kupwara, who was posted in West Bengal state died there while drowning on Thursday evening.
They said the body, however, was retrieved immediately, but by then he was no more.
They said that the mortal remains of Reyaz are arriving today in his hometown for last rites. (KS)
