Updated tentative seniority list of Superintending Engineer (Civil), Degree Holders, of Public Works (R&B) Department.
Notice
WHEREAS, vide Government Order No. 291-PW(R&B) of 2022 dated 25.08.2022, a tentative seniority list of Superintending Engineers (Civil) of PW(R&B) Department was issued by the Department, which has not been finalized so far;
AND WHEREAS, in the meanwhile a number of engineers figuring in the said tentative seniority list have either retired from the services or have been elevated to the next higher level of Chief Engineer (Civil);
AND WHEREAS, in terms of various Government Orders, a number of Executive Engineers have also been promoted as Superintending Engineers on substantive basis on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee/J&K Public Service Commission;
AND WHEREAS, all the above changes warrant issuance of a fresh and an updated tentative seniority list of Superintending Engineers (Civil) for inviting objections, if any, so that the final seniority list is issued;
AND WHEREAS, during examination, it has been found that some Incharge Superintending Engineers (Civil) have been cleared by the DPC/J&K PSC for regular promotion as Superintending Engineers however, the recommendations in their favour have not been released and have been kept withheld for want of some documents;
AND WHEREAS, it has been decided to include such Incharge Superintending Engineers also in the updated tentative seniority list, and their inclusion is subject to the release of the withheld recommendations in their case by the J&K PSC.
Now, therefore, an updated tentative seniority list of Superintending Engineers (Civil), Degree Holders is hereby notified, as per ‘Annexures-A & B’ to this notice, for inviting objections, if any. Annexure-A includes those Superintending Engineers who are holding these posts on substantive basis and Annexure-B includes those Incharge Superintending Engineers whose recommendation for regularization as Superintending Engineer (Civil) have been kept withheld by the DPC/J&K PSC for wantof some deficient documents.

Departments (HoDs) within a period of seven (07) days from the date of issuance
