Asia Cup 2023: Asia Cup Trophy Unveiled in Pakistan, PCB Chief’s Statement
The Asia Cup 2023 trophy was officially unveiled in Pakistan following the release of the Asia Cup 2023 schedule. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) hosted a special event on Wednesday to reveal the prestigious trophy. The decision to unveil the trophy in Pakistan was made as Pakistan is the host country for the upcoming tournament. Zaka Ashraf, the Chairman of the PCB Management Committee, expressed immense happiness and excitement at the trophy unveiling. The Asia Cup 2023 will feature a total of six teams participating in the tournament. These teams have been divided into two groups, with each group comprising three teams. Group A includes Team India, Pakistan, and Nepal, while Group B consists of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan.
The tournament is scheduled to kick off on August 30, with the inaugural match between Pakistan and Nepal to be held in Multan, following the hybrid model. Pakistan will host a total of four matches during the competition, including three group round matches and one match in the Super 4 stage.
