BGSBU Declares Summer Vacations from June 1 to July 15, 2025 – Important Guidelines Issued : Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) has officially announced summer vacations for all teaching programs under Postgraduate, Undergraduate, and Diploma courses from June 1 to July 15, 2025. However, the Nursing College in Kishtwar is exempted from this schedule, and its vacation dates will be notified separately.

All Associate Deans are instructed to implement school-wise rotation of faculty members instead of department-wise. Due to limited faculty strength, the School of Material Sciences and Nanotechnology will coordinate with the School of Engineering & Technology for rotation purposes. Associate Deans are further directed to prepare and circulate a roster of faculty duties within their respective schools before the vacations commence. A copy of the roster must be submitted to the Office of the Dean Academic Affairs, the Registrar, and the Controller of Examinations for record-keeping and coordination.
Additionally, all in-charge Directors, Principals, Heads of Departments (HoDs), and Coordinators must ensure that no faculty member proceeds on vacation without completing all assigned examination duties. Obtaining permission for outstation leave is mandatory. Teachers required to remain on duty during the vacation period for valid examination-related tasks will be eligible for Detention Leave, as per the University’s policies. However, such leave must be approved by the University administration and recommended by their respective controlling officers with proper justification.
