Delhi Weather Update Today: A slight increase in the minimum temperature was observed in the national capital Delhi on Wednesday. Along with this, fog was also seen in the morning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said Safdarjung area of Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 5.9 degrees Celsius today. The minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 6.4 degree Celsius on Tuesday.
According to the Meteorological Department, Delhi’s Safdarjung recorded a minimum temperature of 5.9 degrees Celsius at 6.10 am today amid cold wave in parts of northern India. Visibility was recorded at 100 meters in Palam area.
On the other hand, the fog has once again affected trains and flights. As per information, 10 flights and 26 trains going to Delhi are running late today. The fog reduced visibility in Delhi, affecting the timing of flights and trains.

Flights from Delhi that have been affected include Delhi-Shimla, Delhi-Kathmandu, Delhi-Chennai, Delhi-Jaisalmer, Delhi-Bareilly, Delhi-Mumbai, Delhi-Varanasi, Delhi-Srinagar, Delhi-Jaipur, Delhi-Guwahati Are included. Apart from this, 26 trains are also running late.
According to Northern Railway officials, Gorakhpur-Bathinda Gorakhdham Express, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Amritsar Express, Pratapgarh-Delhi Padmavat Express, and Dr Ambedkar Nagar-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Malwa Superfast Express were running late by up to 2 hours.
Barauni-New Delhi Clone Special, Katihar-Amritsar Express, Visakhapatnam-New Delhi Andhra Pradesh Express and Jabalpur-Hazrat Nizamuddin Gondwana Express are running late by 3 hours.
Officials said that Darbhanga-New Delhi Clone Special, Gaya-New Delhi Mahabodhi Express and Howrah-New Delhi Poorva Express were delayed by 4 hours. Puri-New Delhi Purushottam Express, Azamgarh-Delhi Kaifiyat Express, Kamakhya-Delhi Brahmaputra Mail and Jaynagar-Amritsar Clone Special are also running late by 6 hours.

According to IMD, states like Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West UP and North Rajasthan will see light rain or drizzle. IMD scientist RK Jenamani said that there is a possibility of severe cold for the second time from January 14. We have not confirmed but we are reviewing whether the daily temperature will come down by another three degrees or not. The Western Disturbance is very active and there is a possibility of cold wave from January 14 onwards.
According to IMD data, Delhi this year recorded a cold wave from January 5 to January 9, with the lowest minimum temperature recorded at 1.9 degrees Celsius on January 8. Delhi has witnessed about 50 hours of dense fog so far in January, which is the highest in the month since 2019.
