Government Medical College, Jammu is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the position of Lab Technician under the Anti-Microbial Resistance (AMR) Programme. The appointment will be on a purely contractual basis for one year, extendable annually based on satisfactory performance and conduct.

Remuneration: ₹25,000/- per month

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:

  1. B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) from a recognized university with 1 year of experience, OR
  2. 10+2 with Science subjects and a DMLT (2 years course) from a recognized university/institute with 3 years of experience.

Note: Experience must be in a clinical laboratory, preferably a bacteriology lab.

How to Apply:

Interested candidates must submit the duly filled application form along with self-attested copies of all relevant documents by hand to the Office of the Professor & Head, Department of Microbiology, GMC Jammu.

Documents Required:

  1. Essential qualification certificates (mark sheets and degree/diploma)
  2. Domicile certificate
  3. Registration certificate from State & Paramedical Council
  4. Experience certificate from competent authority
  5. Matriculation/Date of Birth certificate
  6. Two passport-size photographs (one affixed and one spare, attested by a gazetted officer)

Selection Process:

Candidates will be shortlisted and called for a written test.

In case of a tie in scores, preference will be given to the older candidate.

There will be no negative marking in the written test.

Important Terms & Conditions:

Candidates must be residents of UT of Jammu & Kashmir.

Appointment is purely contractual and does not confer any claim for regularization.

Selected candidates must report within 7 days of the selection list being issued.

A contract agreement and an affidavit attested by a 1st Class Magistrate must be submitted.

Either party may terminate the contract with a one-month notice or remuneration in lieu.
