Name of the Post: Senior Resident

Department: Surgical Gastroenterology

Qualification Required: Medical Postgraduate Degree (M.Ch/DNB) in the relevant specialty, as per the latest eligibility norms of the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Start Date to Apply: 01 May 2025

Last Date to Submit Application (via email & hard copy): 21 May 2025

Age Limit (as on 01 January 2025): Below 45 years

  3. Submit the completed application along with the fee receipt via email to pmcgmcjammu@jk.gov.in.
  4. Ensure the hard copy is also submitted before the deadline.

Selection Process:

The selection will be made through a written test consisting of 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), carrying a total of 100 marks (2 marks each).

Duration: 1 hour

Negative Marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer

The exact date of the written test will be announced on the official website of GMC Jammu. No individual communication will be sent.

Additional Notes:

Number of vacancies will be finalized by the Selection Committee at the time of selection.

In-service candidates must follow the J&K Civil Services Rules 1979 and apply through proper channel.
