Srinagar, June 8 : The Regional Transport Officer (RTO) of Kashmir has asked the vehicle owners to update their cell phone numbers associated with vehicle registration within a week.
RTO Kashmir in a circular has stated that Srinagar city is set to launch an Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) to enhance traffic flow management and monitoring.
The ITMS will feature Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), Red Light Violation Detection (RLVD), Speed Violation Detection, and automatic identification of various other traffic and transport offenses,” it reads.

The communique further states that to ensure effective communication and avoid any inconvenience to the public, all vehicle owners must update the mobile phone numbers linked to their Aadhaar with their respective vehicle registrations.“
