The action follows complaints from the army regarding illegal constructions in the area. In response, the assistant commissioner, revenue, and the tehsildar were directed to conduct a site inspection. Their findings confirmed unauthorised expansion beyond permitted limits and the illegal conversion of residential property into commercial use.

An official spokesperson stated that the inspector, responsible for monitoring and reporting such violations, failed to act, leading to his immediate suspension.

Meanwhile, the executive officer of the municipal council has been directed to submit a report within three days and take legal action against the violations.

Additionally, the district statistics and evaluation officer has been appointed as the inquiry officer to conduct a thorough investigation and submit a detailed report within 30 days.  (KNS)
