SRINAGAR: A motorcyclist lost his life in a road accident in the Sangam area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday.

An official informed that the accident occurred at the NHW Donipora crossing when a tipper, bearing registration number JK01AB_6038, collided with a motorcycle, resulting in severe injuries to the motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist, identified as Shahid Ahmed Rather (19), son of Gh Nabi from Chowgund Verinag, was initially taken to SDH Bijbehara for treatment, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased’s body is currently at SDH Bijbehara for formalities. Meanwhile, the police have initiated an investigation into the incident. (KS)
