Hot and Humid Weather Predicted in J&K by Meteorological Department

Srinagar, Aug 14 (GNS): The Weather Department in the region has forecasted primarily hot, humid, and dry conditions for the upcoming 24 hours, with a possibility of “brief spells” of rain in isolated areas. Although rain might occur at scattered places in Jammu & Kashmir later in the afternoon and evening, the chances are relatively low.

According to a meteorological department official, August 15 might see early morning showers in some parts of J&K, followed by dry weather for the remainder of the day. Notably, there is no significant rainfall expected for the rest of the week.

Meanwhile, the recorded temperatures include a low of 21.0°C in Srinagar, which is 2.7°C above the normal average for the summer capital. In Jammu district, the minimum temperature stood at 23.6°C, marking a 1.4°C deviation below the normal average for the winter capital. (GNS).
