PM Kisan Scheme -Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana scheme, all the landholding farmer families get three equal installments of Rs 2000 after every four months in a year. The amount is directly sent to their bank accounts in the form of three instalments. Now the farmers are waiting for their 16th instalment.

PM Kisan is a Central Sector scheme with 100 percent funding from the government of India. It became operational in December 2018.

PM Kisan 16th Installment Date

The release of the 16th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme is anticipated to be between February and March 2024. However, there has been no official announcement from the government regarding the exact date of the next instalment. This information comes from various sources that project the likely timeframe based on the pattern of previous instalments and announcements.

According to the official website, eKYC is mandatory for PM Kisan registered farmers.

“eKYC is MANDATORY for PMKISAN Registered Farmers. OTP Based eKYC is available on PMKISAN Portal. or nearest CSC centres may be contacted for Biometric based eKYC (sic),” according to the official website of the scheme.

Modes of the eKYC

There are following three modes of eKYC available to the farmers of the PMKISAN scheme:

1. OTP Based e-KYC (available on PM-KISAN Portal and Mobile App)

2. Biometric based e-KYC (available at Common Service Centres (CSCs) and State Seva Kendra (SSKs))

3. Face authentication-based e-KYC (available on PM KISAN Mobile app which is used by millions of farmers).

How OTP based e-KYC can be done?

To execute, OTP based eKYC, the farmer is required to have Aadhaar linked active mobile number. For this follow the given steps:

• Visit the PM-KISAN portal (https://pmkisan.gov.in/)
• Click on e-KYC (on the top right corner of the website)
• Enter your Aadhaar number and complete your eKYC after submitting your OTP.

How biometric based e-KYC can be done?

This technology has been made available to over 4 lakh Common Service Centres and other State Seva Kendras across the country in order to deliver services to farmers at their doorsteps/neighborhoods. Follow the below steps.

• Visit your nearest CSC/SSK with your Aadhaar Card and Aadhaar linked mobile number
• The CSC/SSK operator will assist the farmer in performing biometric authentication using Aadhaar-based verification.

Note:

• The nearest CSC can be located at https://locator.csccloud.in/
• The convenience fee is Rs. 15 for eKYC.

How to do e-KYC through face-authentication?

The farmer can also do the eKYC through their mobile at their own convenience. This is the most innovative and hassle-free way of doing eKYC. The steps are given below:

• Download the PM-KISAN mobile app and Aadhaar Face RD app from the Google Play Store
• Open the app and login through your PM-KISAN registered mobile number
• Land on the beneficiary status page
• If eKYC status is “No”, click on the eKYC, then enter your Aadhaar number and give your consent to scan your face
• After successfully scanning your face, eKYC is completed.

Note:

• The status of the eKYC done through any mode will be reflected in the beneficiary status after 24 hours.
• The farmers can also access their status from the KYS module on the PM-KISAN portal and Kisan-eMitra (PM-KISAN AI Chatbot).

• Step 1: Visit pmkisan.gov.in
• Step 2: Select the option ‘Beneficiary Status’ under the ‘Farmers Corner’ section on the home page
• Step 3: Enter the registered Aadhaar number or bank account number.
• Step 4: Click on ‘Get Data’
• Step 5. The status of the instalment will be displayed

PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana: Steps to apply

• Step 1: Visit the official website – pmkisan.nic.in
• Step 2: Click on ‘eKYC’ under the ‘Farmers Corner’ section
• Step 3: Under the ‘OTP Based eKYC’ section, enter your Aadhaar number
• Step 4: Click on ‘Search’
• Step 5: Now enter your Aadhaar-linked mobile number and click on ‘Get OTP’
• Step 6: Enter the OTP
• Step 7: eKYC will be completed upon successful verification of the entered details

How to Check PM Kisan Status 2024

To check the status of your PM Kisan account, follow these steps:

• Step 1: Visit the Official Website: Go to the official PM Kisan portal (pmkisan.gov.in).
• Step 2: Farmers Corner Section: On the homepage, locate the ‘Farmers Corner’ section.
• Step 3: Select ‘Know Your Status’: Click on the ‘Know your Status’ option. This is where you can check your application status.
• Step 4: Enter Required Information: Enter your Application Number, Aadhaar number, Account number, or Mobile number.
• Step 5: Submit and View Status: Click the ‘Get Data’ button to submit your details. Your PM Kisan status, including the status of your payments, will be displayed on the screen.
