Eligibility Criteria for Sangini (Anganwadi Worker)
- Age Requirement:
Candidates must be between 18 and 37 years as of 01-01-2024. - Domicile:
The candidate must be a domicile of the Union Territory of J&K and reside in the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Center (AWC) is located.
- The voter list of the ward will serve as proof of residence.
- If the candidate appears in the voter list with her parents and is unmarried, a certificate of being unmarried issued by the Tehsildar must be provided.
- Educational Qualifications:
- Minimum Qualification: 10+2 (Higher Secondary)
- Maximum Qualification: Graduation
- If no 10+2 pass candidate is available in the ward, a 10+2 pass candidate from the adjoining ward may be considered with prior approval from the Mission Director, Mission Poshan.
- Selection Criteria:
Selection will be based on merit, considering the marks obtained in 10+2.
- Candidates from the family of retiring Anganwadi Workers (AWW) or Helpers (AWH) will receive an additional 2% weightage.
- In the event of a tie in merit, the candidate with the higher age will be preferred.
- Educational Limit:
Candidates with educational qualifications higher than graduation will not be considered.

Interested and eligible candidates can submit their application forms in person or by registered post to the Child Development Project Officer, Inderwal. The forms must be complete and include all required documents. Incomplete applications will be rejected without notice.

Selection Process:
The candidates shortlisted will be required to appear before the Document Verification Committee with their original documents. Failure to present the original documents will lead to the committee taking a final decision on the candidate’s eligibility.
