SKUAST Jammu Recruitment 2024:The Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) has announced a recruitment notification for the position of Field/Project Assistant under a project funded by the Department of Science and Technology (JKST&IC), Government of J&K. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified candidates with experience in project handling, fieldwork, lab analysis, and data management.

“Study of different biomarkers to assess the impact of pollutants in water, sediments, and fish from various aquatic systems of Jammu.”
Total Posts:
- 01 Position (Contractual Basis)
Emoluments:
- ₹18,000 per month (Consolidated)
Eligibility Criteria for SKUAST Jammu Jobs
1. Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation in any relevant field with a minimum of two years of experience in:
- Project handling
- Field and lab analysis work
- Data management, experimental trials, field operations, and management practices
- Office assistance
- Basic computer application skills are required.
2. Desirable Qualifications:
- Prior working experience in:
- Laying experimental trials
- Field operations and management
- Data recording and office assistance
- Experience in fisheries, veterinary, or agriculture will be preferred.
Terms and Conditions for the Project
- Temporary Nature of Post:
The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The selected candidate has no right to claim regularization or absorption against any permanent post at SKUAST-J. - Performance-Based Extension:
The contract extension will depend on the performance of the appointee. The university and the funding agency reserve the right to terminate or withdraw the post without assigning any reason. - Termination Clause:
The university can terminate the appointment at any time without notice. In case the candidate wishes to resign, a one-month notice period is required. - Interview Process:
Only candidates meeting the essential qualifications and experience will be shortlisted for the interview. - Interview Date and Venue:
Eligible candidates will be notified about the interview, which is scheduled to take place on 08.10.2024 at 11:00 AM in the Committee Room of the Director of Research, SKUAST-Jammu, Chatha. - No TA/DA:
No travel or accommodation allowance will be provided for attending the interview. - Joining Period:
Selected candidates are required to join within one week after receiving the offer letter.
