SRINAGAR: A special police officer lost his life after sustaining a fatal electric shock in Badipora Chadoora, area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday late night, officials said.

An official said that, the deceased was identified as Bashir Ahmad Teli, 45-year-old, resident of Badipora, Chadoora, Budgam.
Bashir, who was serving as a Special Police Officer (SPO) in Jammu Kashmir Police and posted at DPL Srinagar, was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, doctors declared him brought dead.
Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation started.—(KNC)
