Roles and Responsibilities

As a Product Owner at BQE Software, you will be instrumental in driving the development and success of our products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and deliver innovative features that meet customer needs and align with our business objectives. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clear communication of product goals and priorities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, gather feedback, and adjust the product roadmap accordingly.
• Facilitate decision-making processes by providing stakeholders with necessary insights.

2. Backlog Management

• Create, refine, and prioritize user stories, epics, and product backlog items.
• Ensure the backlog is visible, transparent, and understood by all team members.
• Define and verify acceptance criteria for each backlog item before release.

3. Sprint Planning & Execution

• Lead sprint planning sessions, ensuring that the development team understands tasks and priorities.
• Collaborate with the development team during sprints to clarify requirements and address any questions.
• Monitor sprint progress, adjusting priorities and scope as needed to meet goals.

4. User Experience & Quality Assurance

• Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure a superior user experience.
• Validate product increments delivered by the development team against defined acceptance criteria.
• Gather and analyze feedback from end-users and stakeholders to guide future product iterations.

5. Continuous Improvement

• Continuously improve the product development process and team efficiency.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and the competitive landscape to keep the product relevant and competitive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within product management.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with hands-on experience in Agile environments.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with product management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Aha.

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years of experience in a product management role.
• Familiarity with UX/UI principles and design thinking.
• Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., CSPO, SAFe PO/PM) is a plus.
