The Department of Information Technology at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar is inviting applications from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF). This is a contractual position for a research project funded by CSIR.

Job Description:
The selected candidate will work on a research project aimed at developing a Decentralized Greener and Fairer Food Distribution System using optimization tools for sustainable and eco-friendly operations.
Essential Qualifications:
- B.E./B.Tech in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Electronics and Communication, with at least two years of research experience evidenced by publications in refereed journals.
- M.E./M.Tech or equivalent degree in relevant Engineering/Technology disciplines.
- NET/GATE qualification is mandatory (refer to CSIR Guidelines at www.csirhrdg.res.in).
Age Limit:
- Maximum age: 32 years.
- Age Relaxation:
- 5 years relaxation for candidates from SC/ST/OBC categories, women, and physically handicapped candidates.
Fellowship:
- Rs. 42,000/- per month.
Ph.D. Registration:
- The selected candidate can register for a Ph.D. program, subject to meeting eligibility criteria and as per the institute’s rules.
