Motorcyclist Killed in Tragic Accident Involving Speeding Tipper

SRINAGAR: In a tragic accident, a motorcyclist was killed on Sunday afternoon after being hit by a speeding tipper in the S K Bala village of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

The deceased has been identified as Tasir Ahmad Rather, son of Ghulam Mohideen Rather, a resident of the same village.

According to local authorities, the collision involved a motorcycle bearing registration number JK15B 4018, and a tipper truck bearing registration number JK01K 7865. The impact of the accident left Tasir Ahmad critically injured. He was immediately rushed to the CHC Sumbal for medical treatment, but despite efforts by the medical staff, he was pronounced dead on arrival.

An eyewitness at the scene shared, “The tipper was moving at an incredibly high speed. The collision was so severe that the motorcyclist had no chance to avoid it.”

Local police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
A police spokesperson said, “We are working to locate and apprehend the driver of the tipper. A full investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances that led to this tragic accident.”

Residents of the area have expressed their concern over the increasing number of speeding vehicles, particularly heavy trucks, on local roads. One local resident remarked, “The reckless driving of these heavy vehicles is becoming a serious danger. The authorities must act to prevent more lives from being lost.” (KINS)
