Cabinet Approves Joint Secretary-Level Appointments list

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following appointments of officers at Joint Secretary/Joint Secretary equivalent level with pay at Level 14 of the Pay Matrix:

(1) Appointment of Ms. Chauhan Sarita Chand, IAS (UT:1999), as Joint Secretary. Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 25.04.2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri N.B.S. Rajput, IAS (OD: 1999);

(2) Appointment of Shri Deepak Agarwal, IAS (UP:2000), as Managing Director (JS level), National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED), under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 11.10.2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Rajbir Singh Panwar, IFOS (GJ:1991);

(3) Appointment of Shri Rama Shankar Sinha, IFOS (UT:1995), as Joint Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure upto the date of superannuation on 30.11.2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri O. P. Chaudhary, IFoS (MP:1989);

(4) Appointment of Ms. Monalisa Dash, IFOS (SK:2003), as Joint Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 11.10.2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Bishwajit Kumar Singh, IFOS (UT:1989);

(5) Appointment of Ms. Kesang Yangzom Sherpa, IRS (IT:1995), as Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 14.10.2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Ms. Indu C Nair, IRAS (2001);

(6) Appointment of Shri Mohit Yadav, (IFS:2002), as Officer on Special Duty (OSD)

(Joint Secretary level), Department of Commerce, from the date of assumption of the

charge of the post, for a tenure of three years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier,

vice Shri Srikar K. Reddy, IFS (2001);

(7) Appointment of Shri Premjit Lal, ITS (1992), as Executive Director, India Trade

Promotion Organisation (ITPO), under the Department of Commerce, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure upto the date of superannuation on 30.06.2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Rajat Agarwal, IAS

(8) Appointment of Shri Balamurugan D, IAS (BH:2005), as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 08.05.2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Manoj Pandey, IRS (IT:1992);

(9) Appointment of Ms. Garima Bhagat, IRS (IT) (1996), as Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Anurag Bajpai, IFoS (MN:1994);

(10) Appointment of Shri Niraj Kumar, CSS, as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Ms. Monalisa Dash, IFOS (SK:2003);

(11) Appointment of Ms. Manmeet Kaur Nanda, IAS (WB:2000), as Joint Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, with an extension of central deputation tenure for a period of one year beyond 10.11.2024, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri Rajesh Kumar Yadav, IAS (RJ:1996);

(12) Appointment of Shri Rajat Agarwal, IAS (PB:2003), as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 13.02.2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, against a vacant post of Joint Secretary;

(13) Appointment of Shri Ved Prakash Mishra, IRS (IT:2004), as Joint Secretary. Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for an overall tenure of five years upto 31.03.2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, by upgrading a post of Director held by the officer,

(14) Appointment of Ms. C Shikha, IAS (KN:2004), as Joint Secretary, Department of Food & Public Distribution, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a tenure of five years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri N. Gulzar, IAS (AP:1999);

(15) Appointment of Shri Sangeet, IDAS (2004), as Joint Secretary, Department of

Food & Public Distribution, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for acombined tenure of six years upto 12.03.2025, or until further orders, whichever is

earlier, by upgrading a post of Director held by the officer;

(16) Appointment of Shri Ravi Kumar, IRSME (1992), as Joint Secretary, Ministry of

Heavy Industries, from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, for a combinedtenure of seven years upto 10.01.2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice

Ms. Mukta Shekhar, IRAS (1994), by cancelling the earlier appointment of ShriSudhanshu Panwar, IRSME (1997) to ibid post vide Order No. 33/07/2024-EO(SM-I)

dated 06.08.2024;
