SRINAGAR: A man died on Sunday after slipping and falling into a deep gorge at Charar-i-Sharief, while the body of a youth was recovered from the Wangwas area of Chadoora in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district in the afternoon.

Official said that the man allegedly slipped into a gorge near Wazabag Forest Nursery, resulting in his on-the-spot death. He has been identified as Farooq Ahmad Kumar, son of Ab Rahman, a resident of Kumar Mohalla, Charar-i-Sharief.

In a separate incident, the body of a youth was discovered by locals in Wangwas Buzgoo. They immediately informed the police.
An official said that the body has been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Sheikh, son of Mohammad Amin Sheikh, a resident of Trapy Khag. It will be taken to the hospital for necessary medical formalities.
The police have taken cognisance of both incidents. (KNO)
