J&K Government Reshuffles 6 IAS Officers in Latest Transfers and Postings

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir issued an official order dated December 27, 2024, outlining important administrative transfers and postings within its departments. The changes, made in the interest of efficient governance, are effective immediately.

Key appointments include:

1. Sh. Shantmanu, IAS (AGMUT:1991) has been appointed as the Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) for the Higher Education Department, relieving Dr. Rashmi Singh of the additional charge. He will also hold the additional post of Administrative Secretary, IT Department.

2. Sh. Shailendra Kumar, IAS (AGMUT:1995) will retain his role as Principal Secretary of Agriculture Production while also managing the additional charge of Administrative Secretary for Floriculture, Parks, and Gardens from January 1, 2025.

3. Sh. Sanjeev Verma, IAS (AGMUT:2001) has been reassigned as Commissioner/Secretary to the Social Welfare Department from his earlier role in the General Administration Department.

4. Sh. M. Raju, IAS (AGMUT:2005) has been posted as Commissioner/Secretary of the General Administration Department with an additional charge of Administrative Secretary, IT Department.

5. Ms. Sheetal Nanda, IAS (AGMUT:2006) has been transferred to head the Department of Forest, Ecology, and Environment as Commissioner/Secretary, replacing Sh. Shailendra Kumar.

6. Ms. Rehana Batul, IAS (AGMUT:2010) has been appointed Director of the Jammu and Kashmir Institute of Management, Public Administration, and Rural Development.
